PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES
The Department of Estate Management has been included in the initial Department of University produce quality personnel to help in the landed property resources of this great nation.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: In order to be eligible for admission a candidate must possess at least one of the following qualifications
The Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or the General Certificate of Education (G.C.E) Ordinary Level or its equivalent with Credit passes in five subjects including English, Mathematics, Economics and any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Fine Art, Agricultural Science, Technical drawing, Surveying and Building Construction. The five credits must be obtained at not more than two sittings. In addition to the above, a candidate must obtain an acceptable pass in the University Matriculation Examination (UME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The UME subjects are English, Mathematics, Economics and one other subject from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Technical Drawing, Fine Art, Agricultural Science, Building Construction and Surveying.
Holders of the Higher School Certificate (GCE) Advanced Level will be considered for admission to Direct Entry provided that they also meet the minimum entry requirement stated in (a). Above. It is important to note that this category of students will be admitted into the 100 level.
Holders of the National Diploma (ND) in Estate Management with a minimum of Upper Credit (ie 60% mark and above) will be considered for admission by Direct Entry into the 200 level provided they also meet the minimum entry requirements stated in (a) above.

COURSE EVALUATION
The evaluation of each of the courses takes two forms. The first part is based on Continuous assessment for each course involving tutorial assignments, submission of term papers, fieldwork and workshop practices as well as studio design projects. The accunt Continuous Assessment counts for between 30% and 40% of the scores assigned to each course while the end of semester examinations for 60%-70%.
